Drainage Detailed Design Services

The brief

Civilistix Consulting Engineers were initially appointed to prepare a surface and foul water drainage strategy.  After obtaining planning approval, Civilistix were appointed to prepare a detailed drainage and external hardstanding engineering package for the client.

What we did

Development proposals were for numerous building extensions located to the east of the existing pub building. The proposed development included the associated external hardstanding car park area consisting of 50 parking spaces.

Our design utilised a full gravity approach to both surface and foul water. The site was located within Flood Zone 3, meaning careful consideration was needed to attenuate surface water with a surcharged outfall due to tidal flows.

Our SuDS strategy was integrated with the space we had available and utilised permeable paving to all external hardstanding areas, providing the full attenuation storage volume required.
